New School Announcement for the City of Leduc
On May 2, 2013 Premier Allison Redford provided details on new educational capital projects. As part of the information provided, Black Gold Regional Schools (BGRS) request for a new K-9 public school for the City of Leduc was granted.

BGRS Youth Leadership Conference
On Thursday, April 18th a total of 250 grade four to twelve students from each of the Black Gold schools attended a Youth Leadership Conference at the Leduc Recreation Centre.
