Staff USB Keys Need To Be Encrypted

Each site tech will be reviewing that all staff laptops and netbooks are encrypted.  As well any school owned usb devices that might possibly be used to hold either student or staff information needs to be encrypted.  School techs will be contacting principals to determine which of these need to be done and arranging to encrypt them.  Please note it is your responsibility to ensure that any school owned portable devices used by staff are encrypted as necessary.  If we support them we will encrypt them, otherwise it is up to you.  Personal staff devices, including laptops, tablets and usb keys, should also be encrypted if there is any chance that student or other personal information is stored on them.
