The Board gave approval in principle for the field trip request from Calmar Secondary School. This field trip is for one student, should the student be successful, to attend the 2014 Skills Canada National Competition in Toronto, Ontario from June 3 to 7, 2014, with one supervisor.

The Board gave final approval for the field trip request from Calmar Secondary School, and agreed to provide the funding as per the required amount by Skills Canada, should the student be successful in the Provincial Competition. This field trip is for one student to attend the 2014 Skills Canada National Competition in Toronto, Ontario from June 3 to 7, 2014, with one supervisor.

School Visits

Trustees and Superintendent Yanitski attended school visits on April 17, 2014 to the following schools: War- burg, Warburg Hutterite, Calmar Secondary and Calmar Elementary. Trustees and Associate Superintendent Monty attended school visits on April 24, 2014 to the following schools: École Coloniale Estates, École Beau Meadow and École Bellevue. Trustees commented that there are always great things happening within all of the schools, and it is interesting to see what the schools have done with the Innovation Fund money. Students and staff appreciate that the Board makes the effort to visit every school.
