Superintendent Bill Romanchuk presents the 2020 Council for School Leadership Award to Principal Mrs. Kloschinsky.

Nisku, January 28, 2021 – Yesterday, Superintendent Bill Romanchuk presented the 2020 Council for School Leadership Award to Robina Baker Elementary School principal Mrs. Katherine Kloschinsky.

“Mrs. Kloschinsky, I am very pleased to present you with the Council for School Leadership Award,” said Superintendent Romanchuk. “If being a principal was an Olympic sport, there is no doubt that you would be standing on the podium with a gold medal around your neck.”

The Council for School Leadership Award recognizes outstanding school leaders for their creative, innovative and effective leadership, and is presented annually to an administrator who has succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students.

Principal Kloschinsky was chosen as the recipient for this distinguished award based on her unprecedented effectiveness as an empathetic and inspirational leader. She is a fierce and passionate champion for children, and is skilled at building effective relationships with each and every student at Robina Baker. She always takes the time to understand who they really are, and advocates for them in every way possible.

“The universal impact of your vision has made Robina Baker Elementary School a supportive, inclusive, and magical place to be every day,” said Superintendent Romanchuk as he presented Principal Kloschinsky with the award. “You truly are the embodiment of the Division’s mission to inspire success. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition; we are proud to have you as part of the leadership team.”

“It was an honor to be nominated for the Alberta Distinguished Leadership Award,” said Principal Kloschinsky. “The privilege of having a couple of cherished colleagues dedicate hours of work to reflect upon my leadership, write, and then submit the nomination package was a gift unto itself.”

“To gain perspective of who you are as a leader through the eyes of those you greatly respect and admire is truly humbling and something that I will always treasure,” said Kloschinsky. “I would like to sincerely thank my tremendous school team, my wonderful nominators, and Superintendent Romanchuk and Black Gold School Division for their role in my leadership journey.”
