Last year, schools within the Black Gold School Division received over $116,000 in charitable donations from generous and public-spirited community members.

These monetary donations help support a number of initiatives and activities at our schools, including breakfast and hot lunch programs; purchasing school supplies; scholarships; memorial and school awards; fundraising for new playgrounds; donations to school career and technology studies, physical education and arts programs; covering transportation costs for events; Christmas Elves, and much more.

Our schools also receive a number of in-kind donations from the community and local businesses, such as sports equipment and materials and supplies to support student success.

“While our core education programming is funded by the province, our schools work with parents and community partners to support a number of additional programs and services that positively impact our students,” said Board Chair Esther Eckert . “On behalf of the Board, I would like to express my deep appreciation to our donors. Your kindness and generosity enables us to better support our students and provide them with lots of opportunities to thrive.”
