Notice of Intent to Run

As per the Local Authorities Election Act, prospective candidates intending to run in the 2025 Election for the position of Trustee on the Black Gold School Division’s Board of Trustees must register their notice of intent with the Returning Officer before accepting campaign contribution or incurring campaign expenses.

A prospective candidate can submit their Notice of Intent form any time during the campaign period.

You can submit your notice of intent in one of two ways:

Within three business days, the Returning Officer will contact the candidate to confirm receiving their notice of intent. They will inform them if their submission meets the requirements or if it needs more information.

Please note: Candidates that register their Notice of Intent must still submit their official nomination forms between January 1, 2025 and Nomination Day on September 22, 2025.
