Due to the annexation of land within Leduc County and the City of Beaumont by the City of Edmonton, The Board of Trustees of The Black Gold School Division is undertaking a review of their current ward structure. As part of the review, the Board of Trustees explored the possibility of reducing the number of Trustees within Black Gold but critical analysis revealed that seven was the optimal number for equitable representation.

After the initial public consultation and study, the Board is exploring two possible options for ward structures and would appreciate your feedback on them as part of their final consultation.
