Black Gold Welcomes Wildfire Evacuee Students
Black Gold Regional Division No. 18 is preparing to make room for students displaced from the Fort McMurray wildfires.
“We are here to help and support these families with students in any way possible,” stated Superintendent Dr. Yanitski. “All evacuee students are welcome at any Black Gold Regional School. At any of our schools, these students will be welcomed, cared for, respected and have a safe place to learn.”
Families with students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 can contact any Black Gold Regional School directly in order to register. Located directly south of Edmonton, with 31 schools and over 10,500 students, Black Gold Regional Division No. 18 incorporates Beaumont, Calmar, Devon, Leduc, Leduc County, New Humble, New Sarepta, Thorsby, and Warburg.
