In response to feedback received by the Black Gold Regional Division No. 18 Board of Education in June, the Canadian Nationalism Tour 2017 was organized to provide an alternate experience for those students who chose not to participate in the Vimy Ridge Heritage Tour (in Europe) 2017.

All High School students from Black Gold Regional Schools, including those signed up for the Vimy Ridge Heritage Tour 2017, were given the opportunity to participate in this alternate experience. Unfortunately, due to low enrollment, we are unable to offer the Canadian Nationalism Tour 2017. Students who had signed up with the Canadian Nationalism Tour 2017 were contacted and given the opportunity to withdraw from all travel or switch to the Vimy Ridge Heritage Tour 2017.

The Vimy Ridge Heritage Tour 2017 is proceeding and takes place during Spring Break 2017.
