Black Gold Regional Division No. 18 (BGRD) has completed the process required to begin using the mass communication tool SchoolMessenger to send parents/guardians text (SMS) messages with important information and updates.

If you have granted BGRD and its schools permission to contact you via text message (known as ‘opting-in’), you may soon receive notifications to your mobile device.

If you have not ‘opted-in’, you can still do so: simply text “Y” to 978338 (standard text message and data rates may apply).

If you wish to receive notifications on multiple mobile devices, each number must be in your PowerSchool account and you must go through the opt-in process above using each device.

SchoolMessenger provides you the opportunity to indicate how you want to be contacted, known as ‘managing your preferences’. Further information on that is included here.
