Before You Apply
Determine Transportation Eligibility
Black Gold provides transportation only for New Humble Students who live within the Black Gold School Division Calmar attendance boundary.
Transportation Designations & Fees
- Most New Humble students are considered Eligible students for transportation purposes and are subject to Eligible Transportation Fees

⚠️ Important:
A transportation application must be submitted each school year.
A separate transportation application must be submitted for each student requiring transportation.
You will not receive a confirmation email when your application is submitted.
- If you are unsure whether your application was submitted successfully, please contact Transportation at transportation@blackgold.ca before submitting another application
- Please do not submit duplicate applications for the same school year
All transportation applications are subject to approval by the Black Gold Transportation Department.
Family Groups
If you have three or more children who attend both New Humble Community School and Black Gold Schools, you may qualify to apply and pay for all children through your Black Gold PowerSchool Parent Portal.
To qualify:
- All children must be in the same transportation eligibility group
- At least one child must attend a Black Gold school

After You Apply
Set Up your Bus Planner Parent Portal
- Create a Bus Planner account and add your child using their Black Gold student ID
- If you do not know your child's Black Gold student ID, please email transportation@blackgold.ca to request it

Watch for Transportation Assignments
- 🗓️ Transportation assignments for students registered by June 30 will begin appearing in Bus Planner on August 20
- Students registered after June 30 may not have transportation assigned for the first day of school. Assignments for late registrations will continue to be added throughout late August and September
- Parents and guardians are responsible for checking Bus Planner for transportation details and updates
Download the Bus Status 4 app
- Bus Status 4 is used to communicate transportation alerts, including delays and cancellations, to parents and guardians

Receive Bus Passes
- Passes are handed out at the school during the first few weeks of classes
- If your child has not received their bus pass by the third week of school, please email transportation@blackgold.ca.
Riding With Black Gold
All students riding a Black Gold bus are subject to Black Gold Transportation policies, procedures, and student expectations.

🕒 Regular Hours: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
🕒 Summer Hours (July 6–August 14): 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 12:45 PM–4:30 PM. Please note: The Division Office is closed on Fridays from July 6 to August 14.
