Duties & Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Competence in all aspects of cleaning, cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment
  • Good physical fitness (frequent bending and lifting are required)
  • Physically able to shovel snow during the winter
  • Able to prioritize workload and work under pressure
  • Proven supervisory skills and an excellent work history
  • Good command of the English language
  • Basic computer skills (Google Drive, Calendar, Atrieve and Gmail)
  • Honest, reliable, dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Previous Head Custodian experience an asset
  • Knowledge of how to operate a snow blower, backpack blower an asset


Hours & Compensation

  • Start date: mid-April (tentative)
  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday split shift: 7:00 am – 9:00 am & 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm (hours of work change on non-school days, during summer break and based on school requirements)
  • Salary and benefits according to current Teamsters Collective Agreement
