Bus Registration

Register by June 30 to qualify for Early Bird Fees and guaranteed first-day busing.

Before You Begin

You must have access to your PowerSchool Parent Portal before you can apply for transportation.

• New to Black Gold School Division?
  First, register your child with their school. Once your registration has been processed, your school will provide access to your PowerSchool Parent Portal.
• Registered during the summer break?
  If you register your child with Black Gold Schools while schools are closed for the summer, PowerSchool access will not be available until school staff return and have processed your registration. Please contact your child's school regarding registration status and PowerSchool access.
• Have access to PowerSchool but do not see a transportation application?
  Please contact Transportation at transportation@blackgold.ca for assistance.

Once you have access to PowerSchool and can see a transportation application, follow the steps below to register.

Registration

• Log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal.
• Click 'Student Fees and Forms' in the left menu.
• Select your student’s name.
• Click to open the Transportation Application form.
• Select a payment option (see Payment Options below).
• Complete the application, including all required student information and acknowledgements.
• Submit the application and complete payment in your shopping cart.

⚠️ Important: Submitting the application form does not complete your registration. Your transportation application will not be considered complete until payment has been completed in your shopping cart.

Payment Options

• Pay 50% now (minimum required to apply)
• Pay 100% in full
• Monthly payment plans are available for fees over $150.

How to Confirm Your Registration Was Submitted

After completing payment, return to Student Fees and Forms in PowerSchool and open the Transportation Application.

• If your application has been submitted successfully, you will see the message: "An application has been submitted" displayed in red.

You can also verify your registration by:

• Clicking your student's name and selecting Completed Forms to view submitted applications.
• Clicking the Paid tab and locating the Black Gold School Division Transportation payment.

After Registration

Set Up Your Bus Planner Parent Portal

• Visit Bus Planner and add your child using their Student ID from PowerSchool.

Watch for Transportation Assignments

• 🗓️ Transportation assignments for students registered by June 30 will begin appearing in Bus Planner on August 20.
• Students registered after June 30 may not have transportation in place for the first day of school. Transportation assignments for late registrations will continue to be added throughout late August and September.
