⏰ Option 1: Pay Now (Minimum 50% Payment Required)

Instructions:

  1. Log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
  2. Click on Student Fees and Forms in the sidebar.
  3. Select your student and open the Transportation Application form.
  4. Choose a payment option and complete the form.
  5. Select 'Add to Cart'.
  6. Go to your shopping cart and complete your payment

A minimum payment of 50% of the transportation fee is required at the time of application. Applications are not received by Transportation until payment has been submitted.

Important:

  • The remaining balance is due by February 1, 2026.
  • Additional payments may be made online, at the school, or in person at the Division Office by credit, debit, or exact cash only. Schools and the Division Office cannot provide change.
  • If you pay in person, you must also complete a paper transportation registration form.
  • Credit card payments cannot be accepted over the phone.

🗓️ Option 2: Monthly Payment Plan

Please note: Payment plans are created based on the transportation fee assigned to a student's account in PowerSchool.

If your family qualifies for a transportation family rate, the form and fee are typically assigned to the oldest student's account. In this situation, a single payment plan can be used for that family transportation fee.

If your family has transportation fees in different categories (for example, Eligible Transportation and Ineligible Transportation), those fees may be assigned to different student accounts. In these cases, a separate payment plan must be created for each account with a balance over $150.

Instructions:

  1. Log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
  2. Click Student Fees and Forms in the sidebar.
  3. Select your student.
  4. Select Transportation Payment Plan Option and check the box labeled Proceed with Payment Plan.
  5. Return to Student Fees and Forms, select Transportation Application – Students (Payment Plan), complete the form, and click Add to Cart.
  6. Go to your shopping cart and select Payment Plan under payment options.
  7. Enter your payment information and click Create Plan.
  8. Return to your shopping cart and submit your first payment.

Transportation will not receive your application until the first payment has been submitted. Creating a payment plan alone does not submit your transportation application.

Important:

  • The final payment is due by February 1, 2026.

Transportation Refunds

Please note: Black Gold School Division provides full-year transportation service only. Part-time, temporary, and winter-only transportation options are not available. All transportation fees are based on full-year service.

Refunds are not issued after the first day of school, except in the following situations:

Student leaves the Division

  • A prorated refund will be issued based on the number of months transportation services noteere used.

New student registers after the school year begins

  • If the student is new to the Division, transportation fees will be prorated based on the student's start date.

The following situations do not qualify for a refund:

  • A student changes schools within the Division.
  • A family moves within the Division.
  • Transportation service is no longer required.
  • A student chooses not to use transportation services.

Important Notes

  • Refunds cannot be issued if there are outstanding school fees.
  • In these cases, the refund amount will remain in PowerSchool as an overpayment.
  • For students who remain enrolled in the Division, refund amounts are typically left as overpayments in PowerSchool unless a refund is specifically requested.

Overpayment Transfers

Overpayments can be transferred directly through your PowerSchool account.

You can apply an overpayment to:
