Located in the welcoming community of Calmar, Calmar Elementary School (CES) offers the best of both worlds—a small-town feel with close proximity to larger centres, situated just 10 minutes from Leduc and 25 minutes from Edmonton. CES is a vibrant and caring school community where strong relationships, high expectations, and a commitment to student success are at the heart of everything we do.

Calmar Elementary School serves approximately 240 students and is supported by a dedicated team of 15 teachers, including the administrative team, and 13.5 support staff, including educational assistants, office staff, and custodians. Together, our staff work collaboratively to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

One of the greatest strengths of CES is our highly engaged parent community. Families play an active role in school life through our School Council and Parent Teacher Association, contributing countless hours to support student learning and enhance school experiences. This strong partnership between home and school helps foster a positive culture where students can thrive.

CES also offers Flexible Pathways Programming within the classroom setting, providing students with opportunities to learn through engaging, student-centered approaches that support individual strengths, interests, and needs.

At Calmar Elementary School, we are committed to helping students develop the skills, confidence, and character needed to become responsible citizens, lifelong learners, and positive contributors to their communities. Through meaningful learning experiences and strong relationships, we strive to ensure every student reaches their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
