Education Assistant - École Champs Vallée School (4 Positions)

Duties:

• Provide support and assistance to students in inclusive classrooms from K to 9
• Work as a team member with staff and administration.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English 
• French is an asset
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is an asset
• Willingness to accept new challenges and learning new ideas is required;
• Ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks with all students is required;
• Ability to work effectively with children with challenging behaviours and learning disabilities;
• An appreciation of Inclusion and Diversity;
• Willingness to assist with feeding, changing and toileting;
• Willingness to supervise both indoors and outdoors;
• Post-Secondary Education or Education Assistant certificate/diploma is an asset;
• Ability to work as a team member with classroom teachers to support instruction and care to children with severe and mild/moderate needs, under the supervision of a school Administrator.

Hours & Compensation

• Position term: August 25, 2026 - June 28, 2027
• Hours of work: Monday to Friday (to be determined) 30 hours/week
• Salary and benefits according to current C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement
