Contract Term:
August 25, 2026 - June 29, 2027
Teaching Assignment:
Grade 2 - English
Note: there is a possibility of increase in FTE
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Experience and/or Education in Division 1
- Ability to plan and differentiate instruction in inclusive classrooms to support all learners
- Ability to work closely with the other teachers
- Experience or training working with special needs students, and the ability to implement appropriate individualized programs
- Ability to work closely with parents, educational assistants, and other education professionals
- Experience with working and developing social emotional wellness for students
- Provide inspiring teaching and learning for every student including all needs and abilities
- Ability to apply multiple modes of instruction to enhance student learning and achievement
- A positive attitude and ability to be flexible with the demands of the job
- Proficient knowledge of the use of technology in a school environment
- Familiarity with the Google Educational Environment
- Knowledge/Experience with PowerSchool and reporting is an asset
- A belief that staff, students and parents must work together to develop and maintain a positive and productive teaching/learning environment
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge/Experience with Restorative Justice is an asset
