Teaching Assignment:

Inclusive Education Program

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Training and/or previous professional experience in Inclusive Education
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Collaborating with a teaching partner to develop and implement student programming for various needs within the Inclusive Education program. The I.E. Program at OSS meets the needs of students who have physical, intellectual, communication or multiple exceptionalities. 
  • Supporting the social/emotional needs of the students in the class
  • Collaborating to develop and implement Individualized Support Plans (ISPs)
  • Knowledge of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, First Aid, Level B Assessment, is an asset
  • Working collaboratively in a leadership role with Educational Assistants in the classroom, and whole school setting
