Speech Language Pathologist - Student Services
Black Gold School Division has approximately 13,500 students from Early Childhood Services (ECS) to Grade 12 in 32 schools within the communities of Beaumont, Calmar, Devon, Leduc, Leduc County, New Sarepta, Thorsby and Warburg. Approximately 768 teachers deliver instruction with assistance from 603 support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, consultation, and intervention for children/students from K-12 using the pyramid of intervention and universal design for learning frameworks
- Develop goals and strategies, intervention plans, and make necessary adaptation recommendations on an on-going basis
- Complete appropriate documentation to support the unique programming needs of children
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited University program
- ACSLPA registration and proof of current professional liability insurance
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training and Positive Behavior Support training is an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team (teachers, parents, Education Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, etc.)
- Willing to provide professional development workshops
- Own transportation is required – mileage reimbursed
- Preference will be given to SLPs with experience working in educational settings
- A positive attitude and commitment to work as part of a Professional Learning Community
Salary & Benefits:
- Position commences: August 25, 2026
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday (to be determined)
- Salary range: $78,235 - $113,509 commensurate with training and experience. Past experience in an educational setting will be recognized for grid placement (supporting documentation required).
