Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Training in Early Education is an asset
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to plan for a multi-level classroom
- Desire to provide developmentally appropriate play-based, engaging and hands-on inclusive learning experiences for students
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Experience in a diverse learning environment: work with students with a variety of complex and/or behavioural needs and the ability to create and implement appropriate individualized programs
- Experience and/or training with Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with families and BG/LPS personnel including: SLP, OT, PT, classroom support staff
- A personal commitment to working in a Professional Learning Community
