We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-centered French Immersion Teacher to join our collaborative and caring elementary school community, committed to student success and lifelong learning.

Contract Term:

August 25, 2026 - June 29, 2027

Teaching Assignment:

Grade 3 French Immersion

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in French Immersion programming aligned with Alberta curriculum outcomes
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and support language development
  • Assess, monitor, and communicate student progress effectively
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to enhance student learning
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and the school community

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated fluency in French (oral and written)
  • Experience teaching in a French Immersion setting at the elementary level
  • Knowledge of French Immersion pedagogy and second-language acquisition practices
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
  • Familiarity with differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
  • Knowledge of assessment practices aligned with current educational research
  • Ability to integrate technology to enhance learning
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional growth
