Grade 3 French Immersion Teacher - École Beau Meadow School
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-centered French Immersion Teacher to join our collaborative and caring elementary school community, committed to student success and lifelong learning.
Contract Term:
August 25, 2026 - June 29, 2027
Teaching Assignment:
Grade 3 French Immersion
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in French Immersion programming aligned with Alberta curriculum outcomes
- Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and support language development
- Assess, monitor, and communicate student progress effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to enhance student learning
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and the school community
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated fluency in French (oral and written)
- Experience teaching in a French Immersion setting at the elementary level
- Knowledge of French Immersion pedagogy and second-language acquisition practices
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Knowledge of assessment practices aligned with current educational research
- Ability to integrate technology to enhance learning
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional growth
