Teaching Assignment:

Grade 5 French Immersion

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • University training or experience in elementary French Immersion
  • Fluent in both French and English both written and verbal
  • Experience supporting literacy and numeracy development
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Experience or training working with students with diverse learning needs, and the ability to implement Instructional Support & Behaviour plans for students and implementing individualized programs in an inclusive classroom
  • Knowledge and experience with the new K-6 curriculum
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with learning support teacher, paraprofessionals & school administration in the delivery of instruction and care to all students
  • Proficient with technology
