Teaching Assignment:

Summer School CALM Instructor (multiple positions)

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Responsible for teaching a Google Classroom CALM/HCS3000/CTR1010 Combination Course to 30 Summer School students
  • Requires 105 hours of instruction and course management from June 29 to July 24 - 7 modules are due every Monday and Thursday throughout the summer session
  • Duties include:
    • Motivating students, tracking their progress and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents throughout the summer
    • Answering questions and providing tutorial support through online meetings, texts, emails, phone calls, or in-person at Ohpaho Secondary School as needed
    • Marking and evaluating modules/student work and providing quality feedback
  • Prior experience teaching CALM will be an asset
  • Knowledge and ability to engage students in a digital classroom and provide technological support as needed
