Jr. High Literacy & Numeracy Summer School Boost Camp

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

This position runs at West Haven Public School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a Literacy and Numeracy Boost Camp designed to support junior high students in strengthening foundational skills and building confidence. This camp is intended for students who have recently completed Grade 6, 7, or 8 and require additional support in literacy and/or numeracy.

  • Certified teacher with a valid teaching certificate
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based instructional strategies for literacy and numeracy development
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
  • Experience working with diverse learners, including students with learning needs and English language learners
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • This position pays 50 hours on the Black Gold salary grid
