Duties:

  • Provide academic, emotional and social support and assistance to elementary-aged students, on an individual and/or small group basis in an inclusive environment
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students
  • Other duties as assigned by school administration

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English 
  • Ability to speak, read and write in French is an asset
  • Education Assistant certificate/diploma is an asset
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention & Positive Behaviour Training are assets
  • Ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks with students having diverse needs
  • Ability to problem solve and engage in conflict resolution strategies with children

Hours & Compensation

  • Position term: August 25, 2026 - June 28, 2027
  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday (to be determined)
  • Salary and benefits according to current C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement
