How Bus Passes Work

Each bus pass is specific to the student and includes:
• Student’s name
• Assigned bus number
• School name

Students must scan their bus pass every time they board or leave the bus.

This helps with:
• Student safety
• Accurate ridership tracking
• Quickly locating students in an emergency

✔️ Please remind your child to scan their pass consistently.

How and When Bus Passes Are Delivered

Summer Registrations (for August start)

For all summer registrations, your child’s bus must be assigned in Bus Planner before they ride.

  • First week of school only:
If your child’s bus assignment is visible in Bus Planner, they may ride the bus without their pass for the first week of school only.
  • After the first week:
A physical bus pass is required every day to ride.

How passes are distributed:

  • Grades K–3:
Bus passes will be mailed to your home before school starts. Please make sure your mailing address is correct in PowerSchool and contact your school to update it if needed.
➡️ If you have not received your child’s pass before the first day of school, please email [email protected] to let us know.
  • Grades 4–12:
Bus passes will be given out at school during the first week.

Mid-Year Registrations (after school has started)

For mid-year registrations, students must have their bus pass in hand before they can ride the bus.

  1. After registering, your child cannot ride the bus right away.
  2. A bus must first be assigned in Bus Planner.
  3. Once assigned, a bus pass is printed and sent to the school.

Create a Bus Planner Parent Portal account and check regularly for your child’s stop and bus information.
🎟️ Bus passes are delivered to the school, which may take up to two weeks after the bus has been assigned.

If you require busing sooner, please email [email protected] to ask about arranging pass pick-up from our office.
