Duties:

  • Provide academic, emotional, and social support to students with complex behavioral and medical needs in an inclusive environment
  • Work independently and collaboratively/in cooperation with classroom and school team
  • Willingness to supervise indoors/outdoors
  • Willingness to accept new challenges, receive feedback, and learn new strategies

Qualifications:

  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is required
  • Experience with students with severe/complex needs is required
  • Flexibility within a daily routine is required
  • Education Assistant certificate/diploma is an asset
  • Understanding of how to support communication for non-verbal student with autism
  • Ability to implement strategies from an ISP
  • Ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks with students following the direction of the classroom teacher

Hours & Compensation

  • Position term: April 15, 2026 -- June 26, 2026
  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday
  • Salary and benefits according to current C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement
