Black Gold School Division is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician for 32 schools in Beaumont, Calmar, Devon, Leduc, Leduc County, New Sarepta, Thorsby and Warburg, Division Office and the Facilities Department.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance of the school division’s electrical systems, computer network wiring, fire alarm systems, intercom, phone, and security systems.

Qualifications:

  • Current Journeyman and Alberta Electrician Certificates are required
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and acceptable driver’s abstract is required
  • Five years of experience in school maintenance is an asset
  • Ability to work well with others in a professional, friendly manner is required

Hours & Compensation

  • Start date: to be determined
  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Salary in accordance with current Facilities & Operations Staff Handbook: $39.75 - $40.94/hour
