Contract Term:

October 19, 2026 - June 29, 2027

Teaching Assignment:

School Counsellor, may include additional duties as assigned by the Principal.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Continuous contracts within BGSD are welcome to apply
  • Must have a Bachelor of Education
  • Previous experience as a high school counsellor is advantageous
  • A Master’s degree or a willingness to obtain a Master’s degree in Counselling would be a strong asset
  • Previous experience in academic, personal and career counselling an asset
  • Knowledge of high school programming sequences
  • Previous experience or knowledge of PowerSchool tools such as timetable changes
  • Knowledge of post-secondary and scholarship information
  • VTRA training/experience is an asset 
  • Ability to build healthy, supportive relationships with students
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment within Student Services and with Administration, Teachers and Support Staff.
