Grade 8/9 Teacher - Riverview Middle School

Riverview Middle School is seeking a creative, energetic, and student-centered educator who is passionate about teaching Social Studies to our Grade 8 & 9 students. 

Contract Term:

October 15, 2026 - June 29, 2027

Teaching Assignment:

Grade 8 & 9 Social Studies, PE 9, Health, CTF

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Experience teaching Grade 8 & 9 Social Studies is an asset 
• Strong preference given to candidates who hold a specialized educational background in Social Studies
• Experience teaching CTF is an asset
• We are looking to identify a candidate capable of teaching CTF Outdoor Education, Sports Med, and other courses as assigned
• A student-centered approach to instruction and teacher-student relationships
• Effective organizational and classroom management skills
• A commitment to collaborative practice and teamwork
• An ability to establish productive relationships with parents
• A commitment to continuous professional growth
• An ability to design and implement differentiated instruction based on students’ needs
• A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom
