Education Assistant - Linsford Park School
Duties:
- Ability to respond flexibly and safely to unpredictable, aggressive, or defiant behaviors;
- Willingness to adapt to changing daily routines;
- Embrace new challenges, receive feedback, and learn new strategies;
- Supervise students both indoors and outdoors;
- Other duties as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications:
- EA certificate/diploma is preferred;
- NVCI training is required;
- Experience with students with severe/complex needs is required;
- Work effectively both independently and as part of wider school team;
- Approach grounded in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS);
- Ability to implement strategies from an ISP.
Hours & Compensation
- Position term: August 31, 2026 - June 28, 2027
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday
- Salary and benefits according to current C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement
