Education Assistant - Linsford Park School
Duties:
- Demonstrate exceptional patience and creativity to support a student who can be highly resistant to changes in routine;
- Perform diverse tasks under the teacher's direction while fostering an inclusive environment;
- Embrace new challenges, receive feedback, and proactively learn new strategies;
- Supervise students indoors/outdoors;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications:
- EA certificate/diploma (preferred) and NVCI training (required);
- Experience with complex needs and an understanding of non-verbal communication supports;
- Work effectively both independently and as a collaborative school team member;
- Approach grounded in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS);
- Ability to implement ISP strategies.
Hours & Compensation
- Position term: August 31, 2026 - June 28, 2027
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday
- Salary and benefits according to current C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement
