Data Assistant - Technology, Division Office
Position Overview:
Black Gold School Division is seeking an entry-level Data Assistant to join our Technology Department. This entry-level data position is responsible for supporting the Technology Department by acting as the primary point of contact for PowerSchool and Document Management inquiries across our schools.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with database applications, record management systems, and website software.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment under minimal supervision.
- Prior experience with PowerSchool or document management systems in an educational setting is considered an asset.
Duties:
- PowerSchool Support: Serve as the first point of contact for school support requests related to PowerSchool, SafeArrival, SchoolMessenger, and PowerSchool Enrollment. Assist with daily tasks, year-end procedures, and school startup requests. Forward complex issues to the Data Coordinator for investigation.
- Records Disposition Aid in the disposition process
- Document Management Support: Serve as the first point of contact for school support requests regarding daily student records processes (including document identification, uploads, CLASI, EdForms, and the Student Records Completeness Checklist) and website changes. Forward complex issues to the Electronic Records Advisor.
- Training & Documentation: Aid in preparing training documentation and/or videos for schools and assist in presenting training sessions for school staff.
- Adhere to division guidelines as set out in the Division Office Administrative Handbook.
Hours & Compensation
- Pay Band: Level 3 $53,401 - $69,502
- Hours of work: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday, including two coffee breaks and a 1-hr unpaid lunch)
- This full-time, permanent position works 12 months
