Learning Support Teacher - École Bellevue School
Contract Term:
August 25, 2026 - June 29, 2027
Teaching Assignment:
Kindergarten to Grade 6 Learning Support Teacher. Minimum 0.5 FTE LST and other teaching assignments as assigned by the administration (this can vary up to 1.0FTE Learning Support)
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Experience and/or Education in Learning Support
- Ability to plan and differentiate instruction in inclusive classrooms to support all learners
- Ability/experience to mentor/work closely with teachers
- Experience or training working with special needs students, and the ability to implement appropriate individualized programs
- Ability to work closely with parents, educational assistants, division office personnel and other education professionals
- Experience with EdForms and PASI an asset
- Experience administering Level B assessments
- Experience creating and implementing ISPs, BSPs, ELL Benchmarks
- French is an asset
- Provide inspiring teaching and learning for every student including all needs and abilities
- Ability to apply multiple modes of instruction to enhance student learning and achievement
- A positive attitude and ability to be flexible with the demands of the job
- Familiarity with the Google Educational Environment
- Knowledge/Experience with PowerSchool and reporting is an asset
- A belief that staff, students and parents must work together to develop and maintain a positive and productive teaching/learning environment
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge/Experience with Restorative Justice is an asset
