Education Assistant - École Beaumont Composite High School (2 Positions)
Qualifications:
- Education Assistant Diploma or certification is an asset Experience working with students who have diverse special needs (physical, behavioral, academic, and medical)
- Willingness to assist with personal care needs, including toileting (male and female high school students)
- Ability to perform specific medical procedures as required, which may include Trach suctioning and G-tube feeding. (training provided)
Requirements:
- Experience providing support for students exhibiting significant autism and/or oppositional behaviors Ability to engage in physical activity as needed, including non-abusive restraints and retrieving non-compliant students. (NVCI certificate is an asset)
- Be comfortable working in proximity to a service dog.
- Be comfortable working in different settings (group, one to one)
Hours & Compensation
- Position term: August 25, 2026 - June 28, 2027
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday (to be determined)
- Salary and benefits according to current C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement
