Black Gold Librarians get ready to launch new library technology

Librarians from throughout Black Gold School Division gathered recently to learn about the new technology system that they will use in their libraries this year, designed to better meet the needs of students.
Insignia is the name of the system. It is designed to streamline many workflows for librarians, creating a more user-friendly interface.
Students will enjoy a stronger search function that is age-appropriate, 24/7 access, and a seamless, single sign-on synced to each student’s Black Gold email address. The system also has interactive features meant to increase student interest in reading.
Insignia is being used in every school starting this fall.
