Trustee Klaassen has been appointed to be the Alberta representative on the Canadian School Boards Association's Board of Directors. She also is currently serving as Vice-president of the Alberta School Boards Association.

“I am honoured to represent Alberta and bring forward the perspectives of school boards from across the province to the national table,” says Klaassen. “I look forward to working with colleagues across Canada to strengthen locally elected school board governance and support student success.”

Founded in 1923, CSBA represents elected governing school board members from provincial school boards associations across Canada. The association advocates for public education, promotes the value of locally elected school boards, and provides opportunities for professional development, research and collaboration.
