Caledonia Park School celebrates playground grand opening

Caledonia Park School is pleased to have opened its new playground.

The grand opening late last week included students and families, as well as invited dignitaries from the City of Leduc as well as from Black Gold’s Board of Trustees and division office. 

The playground was completed recently after years of planning and effort from Caledonia Park School and the CPS school council.  It is a combined effort between CPS, the school council and the City of Leduc. The project also received a provincial grant, and support from a number of local businesses. 

“We’re really thankful to all of the parents who participated in fundraising for this great new play structure for our students,” says Donavin Simmons, CPS Principal. “Equally, thank you to the City of Leduc, the province and to all of the businesses and individuals who contributed.”

The playground was designed to be inclusive, so that students with a range of physical abilities can enjoy the new structure.
