Carnaval at École Corinthia Park a celebration of French language and culture
Celebrating the French language and culture was a lot of fun for students at École Corinthia Park School recently.
At the school’s Carnaval day, students were able to participate in a variety of activities such as tire d'érable (wrapping maple syrup taffy on sticks), making rhythm with wooden spoons, sampling poutine, snowshoeing, sled races, snow painting, face painting and more.
Carnaval in French Canadian culture is a winter celebration, and the weather this year made it very comfortable to celebrate winter!
A big thank you, from École Corinthia Park, to students from Leduc Composite High School who helped to run a number of the activities. Also, thanks to the parents that volunteered to prepare poutine for the students.
Merci and bien joué to everyone who made the day a success!
