Dear Parents/Guardians,

You may be aware that negotiations between Alberta Teacher Association (ATA) and the Alberta Government have reached an impasse. We want to keep you informed about the potential for upcoming strike action. At this time, we encourage families to prepare for the possibility of class disruption should a strike proceed. We understand this uncertainty is difficult. We will share timely updates to help families plan accordingly. We are thankful that the ATA has not yet indicated that it will go on strike.

It is important to note that this dispute is between the provincial-level Alberta Teachers’ Association (ATA) and the provincial government - and not with our Division. Through this process, we remain focused on supporting our students, staff, and school communities.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We remain hopeful that this matter will be resolved without labour disruption.
