Welcome Back to School!
Back to School 2026
Welcome back to school! We are excited for another year of learning, growth, and opportunities!
The first day of school is Thursday, August 27.
Registration
If your child is new to Black Gold School Division, please register them online. More information about registration, and access to the registration system is available here.
Students who were attending a Black Gold school in 2025-2026 and are returning in 2026-27 are automatically registered*.
*Please note that Pre-K students who will be attending Kindergarten are not automatically registered even if they attended a Black Gold school in the previous year. These students will need to register.
Please complete the verification form
All Black Gold families are required to complete the Student Enrollment Verification Form for the 2026-27 school year. In late August, parents / guardians will receive an email via School Messenger with details on how to access this form during the first week of school.
School supply lists
School supply lists are posted on school websites.

Preschool
When little learners need a little more, we’re here! Because every child grows differently, Black Gold School Division offers:
1. Junior Kindergarten for children who are learning English as an additional language. Learn more here.
2. Early intervention preschool, providing specialized support so children can build confidence, skills and a strong start to school. Available to students as young as 2 years and 8 months (by August 31). Learn more here.
Out-of-School Care
Black Gold’s partnership with out-of-school care providers give families an option for care before and after school, on professional development days, during school breaks, and for kindergarten students during the daytime when classes aren’t running.
