As part of their ongoing work to advocate for a strong public education system, the Board of Trustees met with members of Leduc County Council and senior administration on October 4 to share information and explore opportunities for partnerships.

“As a growing school district and a growing county, we are addressing some of the same issues,” said Board Chair Esther Eckert. “It was important for us to sit at the same table and consider ways we can work together to support our students and school communities.”

“Open communication, collaboration, and mutual trust are the cornerstones of a successful relationship,” said Vice Chair Angie Charpentier. “We are excited to be working together to meet the needs of a growing and diverse community.”

“It was a pleasure to connect with our counterparts from the Leduc County Council,” said Trustee Devonna Klaassen. “We are all working to serve the best interest of our constituents, and we do this best when we stay informed of each of our priorities and look for opportunities to compliment one another.”
