The Hold and Secure has ended at LCHS and ELJHS.  The RCMP have said that there is no threat to students. We want to thank students and parents for helping us ensure all students remained safe throughout the Hold and Secure.

All school activities have resumed. Any students who were hungry were able to access food during the Hold and Secure.

NOTICE #5: 12:45

Both LCHS and ELJHS remain in a Hold and Secure emergency protocol with all entrance doors locked to ensure all students remain safe. No one is permitted in or out of the school. 

Leduc RCMP are continuing to investigate a targeted social media threat against students.

Please do not come to the school as no one will be allowed in the building.  Also, please do not call the school so we can keep the phone lines open so the school can deal with the situation.

Schools have made arrangements for students who need lunch to have something to eat.

NOTICE # 1: 11:25 AM – Today Leduc Composite High School and Ecole Leduc Junior High School implemented our Hold and Secure emergency protocol, as the result of a targeted threat through social media against students.

All students and staff are accounted for and secured in the school. Students will remain in the school until the Hold and Secure is ended. Schools are making arrangements for students who need lunch to have something to eat.

Leduc RCMP were immediately contacted and they are taking steps to ensure students and staff are safe. The RCMP and the Division are now working together to further resolve the situation.

Our first priority is to ensure the safety of all our students. We want to assure you that all students are safe. All entrance doors are locked with no one permitted in or out of the school. Regular activities continue within the school.
