In light of Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Hinshaw’s announcement yesterday that the provincial government is asking for all large gatherings or international events in the province to be cancelled, École J. E. Lapointe School Grand Re-Opening event scheduled for March 26, 2020 will be postponed until further notice.    

According to the announcement, schools and daycares can remain open but steps should be taken to ensure that no more than 250 individuals are in the same room at any given time.

Black Gold School Division will continue to monitor the situation and keep families and staff informed of any new announcements.
